As a GPU Software Engineer, Senior within the Graphics Software Engineering team, you will architect, design, implement, and verify the structure and performance of GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools. Your daily responsibilities involve writing code for features, drivers, and APIs while ensuring effective performance across various platforms. You will maintain comprehensive pre- and post-silicon tests using simulation, emulation, and on-device environments to identify issues and improve designs. To succeed in this role, you must be proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Perl, or Python. The work focuses on the technical challenges of graphics software, specifically optimizing hardware performance and developing robust software interfaces for GPU systems. You will also produce detailed design documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features that meet specific technical requirements and goals.
Architect, design, implement, and verify the structure and performance of GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools.
Write code for features, drivers, and APIs using languages such as C, C++, Perl, or Python.
Ensure software performs effectively across various different platforms.
Maintain comprehensive pre- and post-silicon tests in simulation, emulation, and on-device environments to verify performance.
Identify design deficiencies and develop technical solutions to improve overall system designs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement new features that align with project goals.
Create detailed design documentation and feature descriptions to guide developers and customers.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or math field and 2+ years of experience in software, hardware, systems, or game rendering.
Master's degree in a relevant engineering or math field and 1+ year of experience in software, hardware, systems, or game rendering.
PhD in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
At least 1 year of academic and/or work experience with programming languages suitable for graphics, such as C++ or C.
Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred).
2+ years of relevant GPU experience (preferred).
1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (preferred).
