As a Full Stack Software Engineer III - Java/React/AWS within the Payments Technology team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team designing and delivering trusted market-leading technology products. Your daily responsibilities include executing software solutions, creating secure production code, and producing architecture artifacts for complex applications. You will troubleshoot technical problems, maintain algorithms, and develop visualizations from large data sets to drive system improvements. The role requires hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST API development, and database querying languages. You must utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools and understand responsible AI use. Technical skills include the Software Development Life Cycle, CI/CD, and security. Preferred experience includes React, Angular, and AWS cloud technologies like EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, and Lambda.
Design and develop secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms.
Execute technical troubleshooting and build solutions for complex technical problems.
Use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, and unit test creation.
Produce architecture and design artifacts while ensuring software code meets all design constraints.
Analyze large data sets to develop visualizations and reports for continuous system improvement.
Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to implement automation capabilities across the development process.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST API development, and database querying languages.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including the ability to guide peers.
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or similar JavaScript frameworks (preferred).
Exposure to AWS cloud technologies such as EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, or Lambda (preferred).
Practical experience using AI-assisted developer tools and AI agents to improve engineering productivity and code quality (preferred).
