Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring engineers, overseeing technical roadmaps, and ensuring long-term platform health. The role requires expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte. Additionally, the candidate will utilize Node, automated testing tools like Jest or Cypress, and backend-for-frontends with gRPC/Protobuf to solve complex problems within the enterprise technology space.

What you'll do

Drive high-leverage technical initiatives from initial problem framing through implementation and adoption.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to engineering teams using expertise and clear communication.
Own architectural and technical decisions for cross-team initiatives while balancing immediate delivery with long-term health.
Use a data-driven approach to justify investment, prioritization, and changes in technical direction.
Establish and evangelize engineering standards, including AI-native development patterns and agentic tooling.
Mentor engineers across the organization and contribute to technical interviewing and onboarding efforts.
Develop and maintain mission-critical systems including customer servicing platforms and design systems.
Build scalable front-end solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, and Node.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
At least 6 years of professional experience in software engineering.
At least 6 years of experience developing applications using TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks.
At least 3 years of experience architecting or leading the development of federated front-end or design systems with cross-application adoption.
7+ years of experience with TypeScript and JavaScript (preferred).
7+ years of experience with modern web frameworks, HTML, and CSS (preferred).
Proven experience with automated testing frameworks and modular architecture (preferred).
Experience providing technical leadership, designing multi-team components, or scaling Backend-for-Frontends (preferred).
