As a Senior FPGA Engineer on the Battlespace Awareness team, you will serve as the technical lead for airborne radar products, establishing foundational design processes and best practices. What you'll do

  • Lead FPGA architecture, design, and verification for airborne radar systems from concept through production.
  • Translate signal processing algorithms into high-performance FPGA implementations on Altera SOC/FPGA platforms.
  • Establish and drive robust FPGA design processes, coding standards, and verification methodologies.
  • Design and implement digital signal processing chains including data acquisition, filtering, and real-time processing.
  • Perform timing analysis, resource optimization, and debugging of complex FPGA designs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture specifications and verification plans.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers as the team scales its FPGA capabilities.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of professional experience in FPGA design and development.
  • Expertise in RTL design using SystemVerilog and/or VHDL.
  • Experience with Altera FPGA devices and development tools like Vivado and Quartus.
  • Proven experience implementing digital signal processing on FPGAs.
  • Proficiency in FPGA verification methodologies, simulation tools, timing closure, and resource optimization.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership by driving projects from requirements to hardware implementation.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
