The Foundry Engineer for Advanced Technology, Sr. Staff joins the ASICS Engineering group to drive the bring-up, qualification, and ramp of advanced semiconductor technologies for the automotive business. This role involves collaborating with internal cross-functional teams and external foundry partners to define technology roadmaps, ensure robust process integration, and achieve high yield and reliable product performance. Key responsibilities include improving manufacturing yield, ensuring quality standard compliance, and debugging complex reliability issues across the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will utilize skills in ASIC design, verification, validation, and integration, alongside expertise in process flow, device physics, testing, repair schemes, and reliability. Proficiency in data analysis, statistical analysis, and Failure Analysis methodology is required to solve technical problems and meet specific automotive product requirements.
Drive the bring-up, qualification, and ramp of advanced semiconductor technologies for the automotive business.
Define the technology roadmap and ensure robust process integration for automotive products.
Improve manufacturing yield through defect pareto development and yield improvement methodologies.
Debug complex reliability issues across the entire product lifecycle.
Perform data and statistical analysis for both device and yield analysis.
Ensure product compliance with established quality standards.
Liaise with internal design teams and external foundry partners to meet product requirements.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
8+ years’ experience in leading semiconductor process development, integration, and yield improvement (preferred).
Proficiency in advanced technology including process flow, device physics, testing, repair schemes, and Reliability (preferred).
Solid understanding of yield improvement methodology, including defect pareto development and Failure Analysis (FA) methodology (preferred).
Strong data analysis and statistical analysis skills with proficiency in data analysis tools for device and yield analysis (preferred).
Ability to liaise with internal design, product, and supply chain teams and external foundry partners (preferred).
