Forward Deployed Engineer, Professional Services

What you'll do

• Serve as a technical advisor to enterprise customers regarding Workers and Workers AI platforms.
• Lead architectural discussions and design sessions to optimize the application of Cloudflare offerings.
• Diagnose complex technical issues and deliver strategic solutions in coordination with support and product teams.
• Manage and configure customer environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for operational stability.
• Advise customers on best practices for security, network optimization, scalability, and performance tuning.
• Translate complex customer requirements into practical, scalable solutions aligned with the Cloudflare technology stack.
• Advocate for customer needs to influence the internal product roadmap and development priorities.

What we're looking for

• Experience in a technical customer-facing role such as Solutions Architect or Technical Account Manager.
• Extensive knowledge of Cloudflare’s Application and Security portfolio and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience protecting web applications, APIs, and services using WAF, DDoS, DNS, and Bot Management tools.
• Proven ability to work with Cloudflare products within Enterprise-level accounts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong consultative skills with a track record of solving complex problems in customer environments.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical, scalable solutions aligned with the technology stack.
• Experience with coding, Cloudflare Workers, Workers AI, or onsite placement (preferred).
• Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws.
