The Forward Deployed Engineer joins the Engineering team to bridge the gap between core product development and specific customer needs within the enterprise finance space. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with Sales and Account Management to build proof-of-value prototypes, architect customer-specific configurations of AI Agents, and deploy production automation for complex accounting processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing deep technical troubleshooting, writing SQL for integrations, and leading high-impact transformation engagements. You must possess deep experience with Agentic AI tools like LangChain, LangGraph, and RAG, alongside proficiency in LLMs, REST APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks. This role solves the technical challenge of integrating AI-driven workflows into diverse enterprise data environments to automate manual accounting tasks, strengthen internal controls, and accelerate period-end closing for mid-market and enterprise clients.

What we're looking for
7+ years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, technical consulting, or a comparable customer-embedded engineering role.
Deep experience with Agentic AI including LangChain, LangGraph, MCP servers, multi-agent systems, RAG, vector stores, and hybrid retrieval.
Experience with LLMs and tooling such as OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, and prompt engineering.
Deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations.
Strong technical fluency to collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers as a peer.
Track record of managing multiple technical deployments simultaneously under delivery pressure.
Ability to lead technical troubleshooting calls with customers and internal IT teams.
Ability to translate ambiguity into executable requirements and communicate insights to both engineers and executives.
Background in high-growth SaaS, applied AI, or fintech/ERP/accounting-adjacent domains (preferred).
Domain experience in construction, nonprofit, manufacturing, wealth management, healthcare, franchise, or field services (preferred).
Prior experience embedded at a customer site for a multi-month deployment (preferred).
