What you'll do

Conduct technical site surveys to assess preparedness and develop implementation plans, power requirements, and cost estimates.
Perform physical installation, de-installation, and upgrades of network components including Ciena equipment and cabling.
Configure Cisco, Ciena, and Safenet network elements according to DISA guidelines.
Execute install, test, and activate (IT&A) procedures to ensure systems reach operational readiness.
Develop technical documentation including Method of Procedures (MOP), Site Survey Reports (SSR), and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues associated with various network elements and components.
Provide technical support and clear communication to customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Perform quality control activities and validation testing for all site deliverables.

What we're looking for

Must have an active Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree and 4–8 years of experience, or a Master's degree and 2–6 years of experience.
Experience with cable installation, termination, dressing, labeling, and testing in telecommunications environments.
Working knowledge of Ciena equipment (including 6500, 5160, 5171) and DC power systems.
Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Visio.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks in various positions.
DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+), ITIL v3, BICSI, or Ciena certifications (preferred).
