The Force Protection Division is seeking a Field Service Representative to serve as the primary field technical support resource for deployed prototype systems. This role involves the installation, configuration, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sensors, communications infrastructure, and operational technology devices throughout the Rock Island Arsenal force protection ecosystem. You will work with engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure equipment readiness, perform environmental tuning, and conduct root cause analysis on hardware failures. Key responsibilities include verifying operational functionality, performing preventative maintenance, and documenting technical findings. Required skills include experience with multi-vendor integration, communications infrastructure deployment in industrial control network environments, and technical field support on DoD programs. Candidates must possess strong problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and the ability to work independently in field environments.
Install and configure sensors, communications equipment, and supporting hardware in designated operational zones.
Verify proper installation, operational functionality, and equipment alignment for all deployed systems.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, communications, and connectivity problems in the field.
Support root cause analysis of equipment failures and coordinate corrective actions with engineering and vendors.
Perform preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and readiness assessments.
Conduct communications resiliency, failover testing, and interoperability verification.
Document installation activities, maintain equipment configuration records, and record maintenance actions.
Provide field status updates and technical findings to the engineering and operations teams.
What we're looking for
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 – 5 years of prior relevant experience in Field Service Engineering or Technical Field Support activities on DoD programs.
Experience with Multi-Vendor Integration Activities and Communications Infrastructure Deployment in Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Network (ICN) environments.
Hands-on installation and maintenance experience.
Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in field environments.
US citizenship and current secret clearance.
Physical security or force protection systems experience (preferred).
Knowledge of agile development methodologies and management (preferred).
