Facilities Engineer - Electrical Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the design, construction, commissioning, and testing of critical electrical systems including utility power, emergency power, and lighting.
• Perform power coordination studies, arc fault analysis, and short circuit calculations using EasyPower software.
• Monitor and report on electrical capacity from service levels to branch circuit panels to support business growth.
• Manage and approve all electrical circuit modifications while ensuring contractor installations match internal documentation.
• Develop technical and construction specifications for electrical equipment and materials of construction.
• Oversee the maintenance activities and records for electrical systems to ensure maximum reliability.
• Identify infrastructure improvements to reduce operating costs and enhance electrical integrity for business uptime.
• Manage and report on expense and capital budgets related to electrical engineering operations.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering focused on Power Analysis, Systems, and Distribution, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience in those areas.
• Eight years of experience in a similar role.
• Professional Engineering License or EIT certification (preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of EasyPower modeling software and experience sustaining an active model for a 1-20MVA site (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of NFPA/NEC & NETA requirements in design and maintenance settings (preferred).
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills and strong knowledge of variable speed drive systems (preferred).
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to interact with customers efficiently (preferred).
• A solution provider mindset with the ability to drive solutions for customers when challenges arise (preferred).
