As the Electrical Facilities Design Lead, you will lead a team of engineers to guide multiple electrical facilities subsystems from initial concept through final installation. You will manage architecture and requirements discussions, component selection, power distribution, grounding, load calculations, arc flash analysis, and facility-wide integration testing while adhering to strict schedule and budget constraints. The role requires advanced proficiency in analyzing single-line diagrams, power distribution schematics, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Essential technical skills include knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards, along with experience in UPS systems, emergency power, switchgear, and PDU design. You will solve complex engineering problems by integrating innovative capabilities into mission-critical facility infrastructure within a secure defense environment. This role focuses on developing technical solutions for critical infrastructure projects involving emerging technologies and large-scale electrical system upgrades.
Guide electrical facilities subsystems from initial concept through final installation in mission-critical infrastructure.
Lead technical discussions regarding architecture, requirements, and component selection for power distribution and grounding.
Perform critical engineering calculations including load calculations and arc flash analysis.
Conduct facility-wide electrical integration testing to ensure design verification and qualification.
Manage the design of UPS systems, emergency power, switchgear, and PDU integration.
Lead a team of engineers through complex, concurrent facility electrical projects while meeting budget and schedule constraints.
Ensure all designs comply with NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA safety standards.
Perform site assessments and travel to customer locations for field installations and evaluations.
What we're looking for
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of experience.
Proficiency in analyzing electrical facility systems, single-line diagrams, and power distribution schematics.
Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA standards, and facility electrical safety requirements.
Experience with UPS systems, emergency power, switchgear, and PDU design and integration.
Demonstrated success leading teams of 3-4 engineers across complex, concurrent projects.
Ability to travel up to 25% for customer sites and field installations.
