F-22 Simulation Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced, and Senior) joins the F-22 Simulation Infrastructure team to support the development of avionics solutions for the F-22 Raptor. Working within an agile team, the engineer will design, architect, and develop simulation models, visualizations, virtual environments, and frameworks to enhance the performance and safety of hardware and software systems throughout the product lifecycle. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to identify requirements, performing data collection, validating simulation code against real-world data, and modernizing legacy systems for new operating systems. The role requires proficiency in Ada, C++, Python, and C# across Linux and Windows environments. Candidates should possess skills in API design, real-time software architecture, cloud architecture, containerization, and networking concepts to solve complex integration challenges within the specialized domain of advanced fighter aircraft capabilities.

What you'll do

Design, architect, and develop simulation models, visualizations, and virtual environments to enhance system performance and safety.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and define specific requirements for simulated systems.
Perform data collection and processing to support the development of realistic simulations.
Validate and verify simulation software code, test procedures, and hardware integration environments.
Document and maintain technical code, algorithms, and specifications for all simulation models.
Integrate simulation software with physical hardware devices and systems across cross-functional teams.
Implement emerging technologies and tools to modernize and update legacy simulation software.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62.
Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance and access to Special Access Programs (SAP).
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
2+ years of experience in Ada, C++, Python, and C#.
2+ years of experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
3 or more years of related work experience or equivalent education/experience (preferred).
5 or more years of related work experience or equivalent education/experience (preferred).
