Real-Time Software Engineers (Associate or Experienced) join the Precision Engagement Systems team to develop, integrate, test, and deliver complex software solutions for defense systems. Working within a multi-discipline team, these engineers take ownership of features from design through deployment across all phases of the software development lifecycle. The role involves developing real-time embedded applications, creating models and simulations, implementing DevOps practices, building support tools, and managing configuration and Agile release processes. Candidates will utilize Ada, C/C++, Python, or C# to build Operational Flight Programming (OFP) software and other real-time products for mission processing in weapon systems. The technical stack includes Jira, BitBucket, Confluence, Artifactory, and Git. This position addresses the critical challenge of developing embedded software for direct attack weapons and cruise missiles deployed on various military aircraft and ground platforms to support defense operations.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain Operational Flight Programming (OFP) and real-time embedded software products.
Design and build software solutions across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Write and implement code using Ada, C, or C++ languages.
Create models, simulations, and support tools for mission processing functionality.
Implement DevOps practices and manage automated development environments.
Perform system-level testing to verify correct software functionality.
Analyze problem reports and troubleshoot software defects.
Manage software configuration and Agile release processes using the Secure Digital Transformation Environment tool stack.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62.
Ability to obtain a U.S. secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience programming in C, C++, or Ada.
3+ years of experience in real-time embedded software development.
3+ years of experience developing software using Object Oriented principles.
3+ years of experience working in a team environment.
