Senior Missions Systems Software Engineers – Embedded join the Mission Systems Software team to develop safety-critical and mission-critical flight software within an agile integrated product team. These engineers manage the full software development life cycle, including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, algorithm development, testing, and documentation. The role involves building and maintaining code for embedded devices and systems while integrating software with hardware components in a CI/CD pipeline focused on security and automation. Key technical competencies include C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, Rust, Linux, VxWorks, Git, and Cameo. Candidates will address complex domains such as sensor fusion, mission management, fire control, weapons engagement, and tactical communications. What we're looking for
Must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by export control regulations.
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain the required security clearance and program access.
Requires 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Requires 5+ years of experience with full life-cycle software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, and/or Linux.
Requires 5+ years of experience developing, documenting, and maintaining architectures, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
Experience with embedded real-time software, RTOS, and Agile methodologies is preferred.
Familiarity with tools such as VxWorks, Git, CI/CD DevSecOps, and Cameo is preferred.
