JOB TITLE: Executive Director - Senior Principal Architect | Enterprise Architecture (Technology Strategy & Transformation)
The Senior Principal Architect joins the Enterprise Technology team to lead technology strategy, enterprise transformation, and organizational change. This role involves partnering with senior executives and engineering leaders to define future-state architectures, modernization roadmaps, and investment priorities. The successful candidate will build reusable architecture approaches, automation strategies, and AI-enabled capabilities while establishing enterprise patterns and paved paths to accelerate simplification. Key responsibilities include evaluating emerging technologies, assessing platform strategies, and mentoring technology leaders. Required skills include deep expertise in cloud, AI/ML, data architecture, distributed systems, or software engineering. The role specifically addresses the challenge of integrating AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise environments while balancing innovation with resiliency, security, and regulatory expectations within a complex, highly regulated financial services environment.
Define enterprise technology strategies, future-state architectures, and modernization roadmaps to drive business growth.
Support executive decision-making by framing strategic technology options and investment priorities aligned with business objectives.
Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate strategic analysis and architectural decision-making.
Evaluate emerging technologies and disruptive innovations to guide stakeholders toward scalable adoption approaches.
Develop reusable architecture patterns, automation strategies, and scalable operating models to enable enterprise agility.
Establish paved paths and adoption frameworks to accelerate simplification and operational efficiency across the organization.
Assess platform strategies and modernization initiatives that can scale across the entire enterprise.
Mentor architects and technology leaders to foster a culture of innovation and strategic thinking.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide technology strategy, architecture transformation, modernization programs, or large-scale organizational change initiatives.
Proven success influencing executive stakeholders and shaping strategic direction within large, complex organizations.
Deep expertise in at least one major technology domain including cloud, AI/ML, enterprise platforms, data architecture, distributed systems, or software engineering.
Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to architecture, engineering, and strategic planning activities.
Proven ability to integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise environments while balancing innovation, resiliency, security, and regulatory expectations.
Experience driving enterprise technology adoption, future-state operating model transformation, and large-scale modernization initiatives.
Exceptional communication and storytelling capabilities to influence executive and non-technical audiences.
Experience defining enterprise technology strategy within large financial services or relevant certifications like TOGAF, PMP, or CISSP (preferred).
