The individual will lead teams through New Product Introduction, New Source Introduction, and Continuous Product Improvement programs while managing project plans, scopes, and timelines. Key responsibilities include coordinating resources across procurement, manufacturing, and supplier networks, as well as resolving technical hurdles in a manufacturing environment. Required competencies include expert-level project management, requirement analysis, team leadership, and product design development. The role addresses the engineering of large diesel and natural gas engines for power generation, industrial, marine, oil and gas, and rail applications to ensure high-performance engine systems.

What you'll do

  • Lead teams in executing New Product Introduction, New Source Introduction, and Continuous Product Improvement programs.
  • Develop and maintain project plans including scope, timelines, resources, and product requirements for engine components.
  • Coordinate across departments such as procurement, manufacturing, and supply chains to manage project resources.
  • Monitor project progress and costs while resolving technical roadblocks and escalating issues to leadership.
  • Facilitate team meetings and communicate status updates to stakeholders to ensure accountability.
  • Resolve complex technical problems and high-impact equipment issues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Create and implement new techniques to simplify the product design and development process.
  • Produce detailed functional requirements models and documentation for system or software development projects.

What we're looking for

  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum or equivalent experience.
  • Must possess extensive experience providing technical solutions and mentoring others on technical competence.
  • Must have expert-level knowledge of project management strategies to manage high-risk, high-cost projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Must have extensive experience in team building, including defining missions and managing team focus.
  • Must have extensive experience in requirements analysis, including producing detailed models and using automated diagramming tools.
  • Must have extensive experience troubleshooting complex technical problems in manufacturing or product management environments.
  • Must have extensive experience in product design and development from concept through to production.
  • Preferred: Experience in engine systems, testing/validation, APQP, PPAP, PCN, and design releasing.
