Engineering Manager, Server Networking Security

What you'll do

• Manage all aspects of people management including hiring, performance reviews, compensation planning, and career coaching.
• Lead the design, implementation, and operation of production-ready security services using Rust.
• Define and execute the 12-month roadmap for the Atlas Network Protection layer.
• Coordinate with Product and Engineering leadership to prioritize features and manage project risks.
• Handle time-sensitive security incidents and customer escalations.
• Remove technical barriers and coordinate cross-team dependencies to ensure smooth team operations.
• Contribute to organizational growth planning, including resource allocation and future hiring strategies.

What we're looking for

• Must have at least 3 years of experience managing a team of software engineers including hiring and performance management.
• Must have at least 8 years of experience building production-quality systems software with large backend or compiled codebases.
• Experience developing in Rust is preferred for building security-critical services.
• Must possess strong technical judgment to guide decisions in security-sensitive or networking-adjacent domains.
• Must have solid experience designing, writing, testing, maintaining, and operating mission-critical software systems.
• Professional or advanced academic expertise in the domains of security or networking is preferred.
• Experience with performance profiling, network protocols, TLS, and connection management is a plus.
• Candidate must be based in Dublin or Cork to accommodate the hybrid working model.
