Engineering Manager I, Threat Detection

What you'll do

• Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of AI-accelerated detection and response systems.
• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of security and software engineers.
• Develop high-fidelity detections to improve coverage and signal quality across the organization.
• Build infrastructure for detection-authoring agents, platform engineering, and alert triage automation.
• Define and track program metrics including detection coverage, signal quality, and model fidelity.
• Evangelize the team's mission and technical progress to security leadership and partner teams.
• Collaborate with AI Engineering teams to build shared infrastructure and security-specific tooling.

What we're looking for

• Experience in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response roles including building tools and performing investigations.
• Strong understanding of modern threat actor techniques and the detection engineering lifecycle.
• Technical proficiency to review detection logic, Python code, and the architecture of security systems.
• Proven experience building automation systems for security workflows such as detection platforms, triage, and response automation.
• Experience working at a SaaS or cloud infrastructure company dealing with large-scale complexity.
• Experienced people leader focused on mentorship, team growth, and inclusion.
• Ability to operate with both rigor and pragmatism regarding production quality and system evaluation.
