Engineering Lead, Payout Core

What you'll do

• Define and execute the technical roadmap for the payout domain, including architecture and smart routing.
• Manage team performance, career development, and hiring decisions for a newly formed engineering unit.
• Write code, perform code reviews, and contribute directly to the delivery of high-quality software.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and adherence to company-wide engineering standards.
• Align stakeholders across the organization and represent the team in cross-team architectural discussions.
• Produce and review RFCs for technical decisions affecting the payout domain.
• Translate a long-term vision into a concrete roadmap while managing product requirements and customer needs.

What we're looking for

• Experience as a tech lead or engineering manager with a track record of developing engineers and building high-performing teams.
• Strong product mindset focused on customer needs and making data-driven decisions.
• Ability to own, articulate, and execute a technical vision and roadmap.
• Extensive experience with Java or Kotlin and proficiency with the Spring framework.
• Understanding of microservice best practices and ability to design robust relational database schemas.
• Commitment to high code quality, testable code, and active participation in code reviews.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience building highly reliable systems in high-traffic environments or with financial infrastructure is preferred.
