Engineering Group Manager, Electrical Integration & Numerical Optimization

What you'll do

• Develop and implement numerical optimization tools to determine optimal placement for vehicle electronics.
• Build advanced toolchains and processes to accelerate design packaging and integration during iterative development.
• Lead a team of engineers to integrate systems including active safety, lighting, audio, and propulsion.
• Optimize electrical architecture designs to reduce wiring harness costs, complexity, and manufacturing inefficiencies.
• Establish standards for post-crash electrical integrity, network design, and assembly sequencing.
• Balance cost, mass, and assembly effort to achieve high-quality integration across the vehicle portfolio.
• Translate complex technical trade-offs into data-driven decisions for platform-level architecture.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computational Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in a technical environment with strong analytical capabilities.
• Experience leading development and application of numerical optimization algorithms such as Gradient Descent, Genetic Algorithms, SQP, or MDO.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python (SciPy, NumPy, Pyomo), C++, or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience writing plugins or scripts to interact with commercial engineering software like Ansys, Abaqus, SolidWorks, or OpenFOAM via APIs.
• Proven leadership experience in vehicle execution and physical packaging using computer-aided drafting software.
• Expertise in post-crash electrical integrity, assembly sequencing optimization, module flashing, and network design.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-experts and senior executives.
