What you'll do

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate critical events on systems and applications across the enterprise.
  • Manage data center infrastructure including power monitoring, cooling, floor space, and fire suppression.
  • Oversee the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of hardware equipment and software.
  • Create, edit, and resolve incident reports following site incidents to ensure 100% uptime.
  • Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for site-specific equipment.
  • Execute change management processes by creating Method of Procedures (MOPs) for maintenance and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot site mechanical and electrical systems and respond to unplanned events without supervision.
  • Perform regular rounds and inspections to detect anomalies in mission-critical infrastructure.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in mission critical facilities operating or engineering equipment is preferred.
  • Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill and competence in the area of non-expertise is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various UPS systems, cooling systems, and energy efficiency principles is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N, ATS/STS) and their risks is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in physically demanding positions like bending or stooping.
  • Comfort working with heights up to 16 feet on a ladder and under raised data center floors.
  • Availability for an on-call schedule is preferred.
