Emerging Technology Strategist Technical Lead

What you'll do

• Develop and implement structured roadmaps for deploying digital tools and infrastructure to achieve organizational goals.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies like agentic AI, multi-agent systems, and spatial computing to evaluate feasibility.
• Author technical white papers and architectural assessments detailing the impact of new technological solutions.
• Deliver high-level briefings to senior leadership providing data-driven recommendations for technology adoption.
• Provide rapid-response analysis on complex, evolving technical topics and mission-critical taskers.
• Develop frameworks for the ethical and effective governance of AI systems within a federal environment.
• Ensure all research and infrastructure integrations align with agency goals and federal security protocols.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 8+ years of experience in technical project management or technology strategy.
• 10+ years of experience in technical project management or technology strategy in lieu of a degree.
• Experience designing enterprise-level solutions using emerging technologies like AI, Edge Computing, Sensor, or Computer Vision.
• Experience with technical writing to produce white papers and strategic reports for government or enterprise clients.
• Experience with AI governance frameworks and the implementation of large-scale AI solutions.
• Experience applying federal IT standards, Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks, and government procurement processes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
• Experience with Customs and Border Protection Agency mission, executive-level staff interaction, or knowledge of federal Executive Orders (preferred).
