JOB TITLE: Technical Lead The Technical Lead provides technical leadership for the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of technology-enabled applications and services. This role involves leading the specification and software design phases of the software development life cycle while ensuring all initiatives align with the platform technical and business roadmap. Key responsibilities include designing technical solutions for new software enhancements, coordinating coding and unit testing, facilitating code reviews, and mentoring lower-level professionals. The successful candidate will utilize hands-on Java/J2EE development experience, specifically Java 11+, along with strong SQL skills and experience in system design at scale. The role requires proficiency in Agile methodology, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and enterprise application integration to solve complex problems within web application development and Oracle Insurance Policy Administration environments.

What you'll do

Design and develop technical solutions for new software development and enhancement efforts.
Lead the specification and software design phases of the software development life cycle.
Coordinate coding and unit testing phases while facilitating regular code reviews.
Execute changes in line with the implementation plan and contribute to domain solutions.
Communicate project status, technical updates, and recommended action plans to stakeholders.
Coordinate delivery timelines including quality and timeliness metrics for the team.
Coach, mentor, and delegate work to lower-level professionals.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree Required.
5 Years Required; 7 Years Preferred.
Hands-on Java/J2EE development experience (Java 11+).
Proven experience leading system design at scale with strong trade-off analysis skills.
Strong SQL skills.
5+ years of experience with Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) (preferred).
Experience with Agile/SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps practices (preferred).
Experience with enterprise application integration and web application development (preferred).
