As an Embedded Software Test Architect, Project, you will join the global embedded software organization to steer and design test architecture for Logix Controller product developer generated code. You will also navigate complex technical requirements involving safety and security standards such as IEC 61508 or IEC 62443 to ensure high-quality software delivery within the industrial automation domain.

What you'll do

Design and steer test architecture for safety- and security-critical embedded software in Programmable Logic Controllers.
Utilize modern continuous integration and development tools to improve engineering practices across the global organization.
Monitor and improve the health, predictability, and velocity of teams within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Partner with development, functional test, and system test personnel to meet specific product requirements.
Develop and maintain automated tests and tools using Python.
Promote reliable automated test engineering through robust design patterns, processes, and tooling.
Mentor less experienced personnel and encourage knowledge sharing within the development community.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
Legal authorization to work in the US.
Typically requires 5 years of software engineering experience with professional development in software design, testware, tool development, and software development (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (preferred).
Experience working with test architectures in real-time embedded development environments (preferred).
Ability to develop and maintain automated tests and tools in Python (preferred).
Experience developing software to meet safety and security standards such as IEC 61508 or IEC 62443 (preferred).
Past technical leadership experience in an agile development setting (preferred).
