Electrical & Controls Principal Engineer (OT)

What you'll do

• Lead electrical and controls engineering activities for capital projects from concept through commissioning and startup.
• Develop technical specifications, functional requirements, project schedules, and cost estimates for manufacturing infrastructure.
• Provide expert-level leadership in electrical design, automation platforms, and system integration.
• Perform hardware and software troubleshooting to ensure reliability of manufacturing systems and equipment.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve manufacturing capability, efficiency, and safety.
• Manage external engineering firms, contractors, and system integrators to deliver project outcomes.
• Develop manufacturing processes and procedures to support product innovation and operational improvements.
• Ensure all projects comply with internal engineering standards and industrial regulations like NEC and NFPA.

What we're looking for

• 8-12 years of engineering and/or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems including industrial power distribution and automation platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of Rockwell Automation control systems, hardware, and related technologies.
• Experience applying and interpreting industry standards such as NEC, ANSI, IEC, NEMA, and NFPA.
• Working knowledge of ISA-S88 and PackML standards.
• Proficiency with manufacturing data and information systems including SCADA, MES, Historian, and SQL.
• Ability to develop, read, interpret, and troubleshoot P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience managing capital/expense budgets and leading external engineering firms, system integrators, and contractors.
