Distinguished Engineer, Java / AWS

What you'll do

• Lead the Zelle journey to the cloud by driving best practices, architectures, and technology decisions.
• Design, enhance, and scale complex enterprise systems while managing project estimates and roadmaps.
• Develop scaling solutions through collaboration with Data, Architecture, and Operations teams.
• Deliver software in incremental chunks to ensure rapid value delivery in complex environments.
• Mentor team members and leaders to foster a high-performing engineering culture.
• Ensure all software development follows strict quality guidelines, CI/CD practices, and security protocols.
• Maintain compliance with service level agreements, audit regulations, and data confidentiality policies.
• Communicate project progress and technical challenges to executive-level management.

What we're looking for

• Must possess eligibility to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 10 years leading technology initiatives or processes.
• 5+ years of experience working with large-scale cloud systems and building solutions using containerization, CI/CD, automated testing, and security guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership through large-scale system designs, upgrades, and releases.
• Experience with large-scale enterprises scaling out operations in Amazon Web Services (preferred).
• Experience migrating application and data services from on-prem to Cloud (preferred).
