What you'll do

Oversee the post-award administration and financial management for all university sponsored programs.
Integrate pre-award and post-award functions to provide consistent support across the research lifecycle.
Supervise, mentor, and train staff while conducting performance evaluations and managing workload distribution.
Monitor and interpret government regulations and sponsor policies to ensure institutional compliance.
Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures for sponsored program operations.
Track and report on key performance indicators for proposal development and award management.
Lead the implementation and optimization of systems, tools, and workflows for research administration.
Prepare the institution for audits, site visits, and sponsor evaluations through regular internal reviews.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s or master's degree in business administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in research administration.
Experience in supervising and mentoring staff is required.
Deep knowledge of federal regulations, Uniform Guidance, and institutional compliance frameworks.
Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification is preferred.
Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Huron Research Suite, Workday, and eRA Commons.
Experience in an academic medical center or NCI-designated cancer center is preferred.
Ability to manage complex teams and sponsored research portfolios.
