Director, Principal Software Engineer, Strategic Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead a forward-deployed pod of engineers and product owners to deliver high-quality applications for executive initiatives.
• Drive the delivery of critical technical projects while establishing engineering practices and serving as the technical authority.
• Design and implement AI-augmented engineering workflows, including the evaluation and verification of AI-generated code.
• Define organizational technical strategy, architectural direction, and standards for reliability, documentation, and data integration.
• Mentor engineers on technical leadership, code quality, site reliability engineering, and effective technical writing.
• Translate complex technical solutions into clear, compelling presentations for senior leadership and executive audiences.
• Identify recurring patterns to generalize validated solutions into enterprise-wide capabilities.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and bridge the gap between technical engineering teams and business objectives.

What we're looking for

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 8 years of experience, a master's with 7 years, or a PhD with 5 years.
• Must have a proven track record of creating applications used by senior leadership and presenting complex technical solutions to executive audiences.
• Must demonstrate the ability to influence peers, coach others, and oversee colleagues to achieve business impact.
• Must possess expert-level skills in full-stack development, data integration, and multi-audience communication.
• Must be proficient in AI evaluation, verification, and designing AI-augmented engineering workflows.
• Must have experience in architecture design, code quality standards, and site reliability engineering (SRE).
• Must be capable of managing cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and technical debt.
• Must have permanent work authorization to be employed in the United States.
