Director, Portfolio Lead

What you'll do

• Align portfolio priorities with enterprise data and AI strategies using Lean and systems thinking.
• Manage financial outcomes, including budget planning, forecasting, and monitoring for portfolios exceeding $90M.
• Act as the primary liaison for executive leadership regarding financial reporting, efficiency targets, and funding guardrails.
• Oversee vendor management activities including contracts, purchase orders, and invoice approvals.
• Develop and maintain workforce strategies involving employee/vendor ratios and team composition metrics.
• Monitor portfolio performance against forecasts to ensure delivery of business outcomes at the appropriate ROI.
• Coordinate with Agile operations to improve value streams and transition toward a product-focused mindset.
• Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory requirements, and non-discretionary initiatives across all portfolios.

What we're looking for

• Five to seven years of portfolio management experience or equivalent leadership experience.
• Strong IT financial acumen and knowledge of IT financial management practices.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive-level stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scaled Agile, and software development processes.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop talent within a team.
• Five years of industry experience (preferred).
• Experience with Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum or Kanban; SAFe LPM certification (plus).
