As the Director of Solutions Architecture, you will serve as a senior technology leader responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native Vision NEXT platforms. You will lead a team of technical specialists to build scalable, client-focused solutions while serving as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and executive leadership. Your daily responsibilities include translating business requirements into technical designs, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high standards for coding, security, and performance. The role requires expertise in Java, C, C#, or C++, along with SQL databases and experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. You will work within Agile environments to solve complex problems involving APIs, event-driven architectures, and real-time authorization capabilities. This position specifically supports the development of financial services technology for partners across Latin America.
Lead the architecture, design, development, and implementation of software applications for the Vision NEXT platform.
Translate business requirements from cross-functional stakeholders into scalable technical solutions.
Manage a team of technical specialists to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client expectations.
Oversee code review processes to ensure standards for performance, security, and application reliability.
Mentor and develop junior engineers by providing technical leadership and guidance.
Communicate complex technical concepts to clients, executive leadership, and CIO-level stakeholders.
Advocate for the Vision NEXT platform by articulating its technical capabilities and strategic business value.
Champion best practices in cloud-native development, system scalability, and continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
12+ years of experience in software development, solution delivery, or related technology disciplines.
6+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams and translating technical solutions into business value.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, C, C#, C++, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
5+ years of experience working with SQL databases and data management solutions.
5+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions utilizing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
5+ years of experience working within Agile development environments and methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education/experience totaling 15+ years.
Must be bilingual in either Spanish or Portuguese and possess U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status.
Experience within financial services, payments, banking, or fintech (preferred).
Experience with cloud-native architectures, event-driven systems, APIs, and real-time processing platforms (preferred).
Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Familiarity with VisionPLUS, Vision NEXT, or large-scale card processing platforms (preferred).
