As Senior Director, AI Solutions Architecture, you will join the enterprise team to define and lead the organization's AI solution architecture strategy. You will translate complex business needs into scalable products, platforms, and capabilities by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in R&D, Operations, and Commercial functions. Your daily responsibilities include developing solution blueprints, assessing technical feasibility, establishing reusable standards for AI intake, and managing a high-performing team of experts. You will navigate the complexities of modern AI/ML methods, generative AI, data platforms, APIs, cloud architecture, and MLOps to ensure systems are secure and production-ready. The role focuses on solving business problems within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, specifically addressing challenges related to responsible AI practices, data readiness, and regulatory compliance while ensuring that all technical solutions deliver measurable impact and high ROI for the organization.
Define and lead the enterprise AI solution architecture strategy to translate business needs into scalable products and platforms.
Create high-impact AI solutions by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across R&D, Operations, Commercial, and corporate functions.
Develop detailed solution blueprints connecting business objectives, user needs, AI/ML methods, data assets, and measurable ROI.
Assess technical feasibility, value potential, implementation complexity, and data readiness for proposed AI initiatives.
Establish reusable standards and frameworks for AI solution intake, prioritization, architecture review, and delivery readiness.
Ensure all AI solutions are scalable, secure, governed, and production-ready by partnering with engineering, security, and legal teams.
Provide build-versus-buy recommendations, vendor evaluations, and platform alignment decisions to senior leadership.
Build, lead, and manage a high-performing team of AI solution architecture experts and technical leaders.
What we're looking for
A Doctorate degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years, or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or related fields.
At least 4 years of direct managerial experience, including managing managers or senior technical leaders.
Over 12 years of experience in AI/ML, data science, enterprise architecture, product management, or technology strategy is preferred.
Proven track record of designing and scaling enterprise AI products or platforms that deliver measurable business impact and ROI.
Deep technical knowledge of modern AI/ML methods, generative AI, MLOps, cloud architecture, and production AI systems.
Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into scalable AI solution architectures, execution plans, and value cases.
Experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries with a focus on responsible AI and regulatory compliance is preferred.
An advanced technical degree in computer science or engineering is preferred, along with an MBA or equivalent business education.
