Director, Go to Market Engineering leads the strategy, delivery, and evolution of production software, data products, and AI-enabled workflows for the Sales and Marketing organization. This leader manages a team with capabilities in software and data engineering, including pipelines, APIs, enterprise integrations, and trusted data models, as well as applied data science and AI, including predictive modeling and large language model applications. Responsibilities include setting the technical vision, designing scalable architectures, and establishing engineering standards for code quality, security, and observability. The role involves integrating CRM, marketing automation, website, and transaction data to improve account prioritization, seller productivity, and pipeline quality. By translating complex commercial priorities into technical requirements, the Director solves problems related to lead management, identity resolution, and automated data quality checks.
Set the technical vision, multi-year roadmap, and architecture for Go-to-Market Engineering to align with Sales and Marketing objectives.
Lead the design and operation of batch and real-time data pipelines integrating CRM, marketing automation, and third-party data.
Establish and govern trusted account and contact data models, including identity resolution, deduplication, and automated quality checks.
Guide the development and operationalization of predictive models and AI-enabled workflows to improve account prioritization and seller productivity.
Translate complex commercial priorities into clear technical requirements, scalable strategies, and measurable business outcomes.
Oversee solution testing, deployment, and user enablement to ensure reliable delivery and sustained business impact.
Establish engineering standards for code quality, security, observability, and operational support across the portfolio.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree (MBA or advanced degree often preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, AI/ML, or a closely related technical field.
At least 7 years of hands-on technical experience designing, building, and supporting production-grade software, data products, platforms, integrations, or AI-enabled solutions.
At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience leading engineers, technical teams, major delivery initiatives, or technical strategy in a complex, cross-functional environment.
Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with technical depth to guide architecture, engineering standards, delivery quality, and operational reliability.
Experience partnering with commercial functions such as Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, or Product to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
