The Director, Go to Market Engineering leads the strategy, delivery, and evolution of production software, data products, and AI-enabled workflows within the Sales and Marketing organization. This leader manages a team of software and data engineers to build batch and real-time data pipelines, scalable APIs, enterprise integrations, and trusted data models. Key responsibilities include establishing technical roadmaps, governing identity resolution, and overseeing the development of predictive models and large language model applications. The role requires deep expertise in data science, software engineering, and production-grade systems to improve account prioritization, seller productivity, and pipeline quality. By integrating CRM, marketing automation, and third-party data, the position solves complex commercial problems related to lead management, demand generation, and multi-product adoption across the commercial funnel.
Set the technical vision, multi-year roadmap, and architecture for Go-to-Market Engineering to align with Sales and Marketing objectives.
Lead the design and operation of batch and real-time data pipelines integrating CRM, marketing automation, and third-party data.
Establish and govern trusted account and contact data models, including identity resolution, deduplication, and automated quality checks.
Guide the development and operationalization of predictive models and AI-enabled workflows to improve account prioritization and seller productivity.
Translate commercial problems into technical requirements, solution options, and delivery plans with measurable business outcomes.
Provide technical direction for scalable APIs, enterprise integrations, and production software to enable reliable commercial workflows.
Oversee solution testing, deployment, user enablement, and post-launch measurement to ensure sustained business impact.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree (MBA or advanced degree often preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, AI/ML, or a related technical field.
At least 7 years of hands-on technical experience designing, building, and supporting production-grade software, data products, platforms, integrations, or AI-enabled solutions.
At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience leading engineers, technical teams, major delivery initiatives, or technical strategy in a complex, cross-functional environment.
Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with technical depth to guide architecture, engineering standards, delivery quality, and operational reliability.
Experience partnering with commercial functions such as Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, or Product to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
