What you'll do

Define and implement end-to-end embedded software architecture for satellite bus systems.
Lead the development of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and Linux solutions for spacecraft control.
Manage hardware bring-up processes, including boot sequences, verification, and comprehensive testing.
Oversee the development of flight software for attitude control, power management, and fault detection.
Own the system test strategy, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations and on-orbit validation.
Scale and lead a large organization of over 100 engineers to meet production requirements.
Partner with hardware teams to integrate components from initial design through launch.
Ensure software performance in constrained environments regarding power, memory, and processing limits.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident (Green Card), or have Political Asylum status.
Minimum 10 years of experience as a manager of managers leading multiple engineering teams.
Proven track record building and scaling engineering organizations of at least 70 people.
Minimum 10 years of experience in embedded software design and development for mission-critical systems.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Ada, with additional experience in Python and Matlab.
Expertise in real-time operating systems (RTOS), Linux system development, and hardware-software integration in constrained environments.
Experience managing products, budgets, and resource justification for at least 10 years.
