Device Software Product Director

What you'll do

• Lead the design, build, test, deployment, and maintenance of embedded software for Home, SMB, and Volume Laser products.
• Drive disciplined engineering practices including automated test coverage, simulator enablement, observability, and defect reduction.
• Partner with hardware, firmware, and QA leaders to manage dependencies and ensure predictable end-to-end NPI execution.
• Promote the adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices, automation, and modern tools to improve developer experience.
• Manage the global engineering organization's budget, resources, and operating spend to maximize business value.
• Execute the geo-location strategy by transitioning engineering work to strategic sites like Singapore while maintaining business continuity.
• Develop organizational capability by setting clear priorities and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

What we're looking for

• A four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required, or commensurate work experience.
• Typically has 15+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in engineering design, tools, and software packages (preferred).
• Experience in software engineering, software development life cycle, and computer science is required.
• Proficiency in Agile Methodology, Automation, CI/CD, and AI is required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, globally distributed engineering organizations and manage teams.
• Experience in delivering embedded software releases and driving engineering modernization through automation and AI.
• Strong skills in strategic thinking, prioritization, resilience, and customer centricity are required.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive end-to-end NPI execution.
