TL;DR · Director of Product Management, Android/Linux Platform

Director of Product Management, Android/Linux Platform leads the strategy for platform software, firmware, and reference build enablement across Arm technologies for mobile and consumer compute segments. This role involves collaborating with internal engineering teams, silicon partners, and OEMs to translate market needs into technical requirements for firmware, OS enablement, and tooling. The successful candidate will manage the transition from prototype code to stable, customer-ready software while ensuring feature readiness across Linux, Android, and Windows environments. Key responsibilities include overseeing platform bring-up, validation on simulation, emulation, and FPGA systems, and managing upstream ecosystem engagement. Required expertise includes system software, kernel enablement, performance tooling, power measurement, and compiler integration. The role solves the challenge of balancing internal validation with external adoption to ensure Arm innovations are successfully integrated into the broader technology ecosystem.

What you'll do

  • Define and lead the strategy for platform software, firmware, and reference build enablement across Arm platforms.
  • Translate market requirements from customers, OEMs, and silicon partners into clear technical software specifications.
  • Drive software readiness for reference platforms including simulation, emulation, FPGAs, and testchips to facilitate partner engagement.
  • Ensure feature support within critical software stacks such as Android, Linux, and Windows release cycles.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering and architecture teams to align downstream validation with upstream ecosystem readiness.
  • Manage the transition of prototype code into stable, maintainable, and customer-ready software products.
  • Identify and resolve gaps in kernel, framework, development tools, and power management systems.
  • Lead trade-off decisions regarding feature prioritization across multiple platforms and release timelines.

What we're looking for

  • Validated experience in software product leadership, platform software, or ecosystem enablement in a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong understanding of system software, firmware, platform bring-up, or OS enablement.
  • Experience defining strategy and execution for software bridging early technology validation and productization.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into partner value, requirements, and roadmap priorities while clarifying ambiguous needs.
  • Strong partner management and multi-functional leadership skills across business and engineering teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to align senior partners on scope and delivery models.
  • Experience with Arm architecture, Arm-based SoCs, or Arm platform software (preferred).
  • Familiarity with client/compute platform bring-up, Android upstreaming, kernel enablement, or toolchain integration (preferred).
