TL;DR · Director of Product Management, Android/Linux Platform

Director of Product Management, Android/Linux Platform leads the strategy for platform software, firmware, and reference build enablement across Arm technologies for mobile and consumer compute segments. This role involves collaborating with internal engineering teams, silicon partners, and OEMs to translate market needs into technical requirements for firmware, OS enablement, and tooling. The position focuses on ensuring that innovations are successfully transitioned from early validation in simulation, emulation, and FPGA environments into stable software stacks like Android, Linux, and Windows. Key responsibilities include managing the roadmap for platform bring-up, feature validation, and ecosystem readiness while balancing internal testing with upstream requirements. Candidates should possess expertise in Arm architecture, SoC systems, kernel enablement, performance tooling, and power measurement. The role solves the critical challenge of bridging early technology development with scalable, customer-ready software solutions across complex hardware ecosystems.

What you'll do

  • Define and lead the strategy for platform software, firmware, and reference build enablement across Arm platforms.
  • Translate market and partner needs into technical requirements for firmware, OS enablement, and tooling.
  • Drive software readiness for reference platforms to facilitate customer engagement and feature demonstration.
  • Manage the downstream software stack required to validate new technologies across simulation, emulation, and FPGA environments.
  • Ensure core features are supported in major software stacks including Android, Linux, and Windows.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering and architecture teams to align validation cycles with upstream ecosystem readiness.
  • Identify and resolve gaps in feature readiness across kernels, frameworks, and development tools.
  • Represent the business unit in high-level discussions regarding software readiness and platform enablement status.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in software product leadership, platform software, or ecosystem enablement in customer-facing environments.
  • Strong understanding of system software, firmware, platform bring-up, and OS enablement.
  • Experience defining strategy for transitioning technology from early validation to stable, customer-ready products.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into partner value, requirements, and roadmap priorities.
  • Proficiency in multi-functional leadership and managing relationships across business and engineering teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to align senior partners on scope and delivery models.
  • Preferred experience with Arm architecture, Arm-based SoCs, or Arm platform software.
  • Preferred familiarity with Android/Linux upstreaming, kernel enablement, and performance tooling.
