What you'll do

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of database solutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis, coding, testing, and documentation for large development projects.
  • Conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure data accuracy.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business customers, development, and support groups.
  • Coach and mentor the professional development of junior DBAs.
  • Optimize and tune performance for Cloud and Teradata Vantage databases.
  • Develop and maintain Shell, PowerShell, and Python scripts for automation.
  • Design and develop cloud data platforms and advanced analytics reporting.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems plus 5 years of work experience in IT or engineering.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems plus 3 years of work experience in IT or engineering.
  • One year of directly related experience may be accepted in lieu of one year of education.
  • Experience with Advanced Cloud/Teradata Vantage Database Optimization and Performance Tuning.
  • Experience with Advanced Cloud/Teradata Vantage SQL for applications and reporting.
  • Experience with Advanced Shell, PowerShell, or Python scripting for automation.
  • Experience with Advanced Data Security, Compliance, Database Management, and Cloud Data Platform Design.
  • Experience with Advanced Data Engineering and Analytics/Reporting Design/Development.
