As a Database Administration Senior Advisor, you will provide expert counsel to top management on complex database administration and management matters while coordinating across various organizations. You will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data models, logical and physical databases, data dictionaries, and schemas. Your daily work involves analyzing access methods, device allocations, validation checks, and security protocols while managing vendor relationships and leading project teams to monitor schedules and costs. You will utilize a technical stack including Oracle, PostgreSQL, AWS, SolarWinds Orion, Splunk, and Dynatrace. Additionally, you will perform performance tuning, manage data replication using tools like Oracle GoldenGate or Qlik Replicate, and develop solutions involving Generative AI and Large Language Models. This role addresses critical challenges in hybrid cloud environment management, product lifecycle management, network encryption, and security compliance.
Develop complex database systems for the organization based on senior leadership requirements.
Design complex data models, logical and physical databases, data dictionaries, and schemas.
Analyze, design, and implement complex databases including access methods, device allocations, and security.
Act as a technical liaison with software vendors for upgrades, troubleshooting, and relationship management.
Lead project teams while monitoring project schedules and costs.
Provide expert solutions and best practices for internal or external database issues.
Manage hybrid cloud environments, performance tuning, and data replication tools.
Create solutions using Generative AI and Large Language Models to solve technical challenges.
What we're looking for
A Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 3 years of experience in database administration is required.
A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in any database administration role is accepted.
Experience with SolarWinds Orion, AWS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL is required.
Experience with database performance tuning and data replication tools like Oracle GoldenGate, Qlik Replicate, or IBM InfoSphere Data Replication is required.
Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, and service metrics dashboard creation is required.
Experience in product lifecycle management, upgrades, troubleshooting data mismatches, and hybrid cloud environment management is required.
Experience creating solutions using Generative AI (Gen AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) is required.
Knowledge of network encryption setup and security compliance is required.
