What you'll do

Inventory and analyze XML data sources including schemas, DTDs, and XSDs.
Design normalized relational database schemas and map complex XML hierarchies to tables and indexes.
Develop ETL routines using T-SQL with XPath/XQuery or specific XML parsers.
Create and maintain audit logs for migrated records and perform unit tests for data reconciliation.
Generate migration scripts and pipeline source code with automated verification checks.
Execute production migrations using documented runbooks, including rollback plans and step-by-step instructions.
Develop maintenance and migration interval plans to support continuous updates of data schemas.

What we're looking for

Must have 7+ years of experience in server database maintenance and administration.
Must possess an IBM Database Certification.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Must be proficient in SQL query development, data modeling, schema optimization, and preliminary data analysis.
Must have hands-on experience installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting relational databases including backup and recovery.
Must have proven experience in performance tuning, security protocols, access controls, and SSL certification installation.
Must be proficient in working with complex XML schemas, XPath, XQuery, and SQL Server XML data types.
Must have experience designing SSIS workflows and using Entity Framework (EF) or Entity Framework Core (EF Core).
