What you'll do

  • Provide production support for mission-critical database environments including shift-based coverage and on-call rotations.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root-cause analysis to ensure system stability.
  • Develop stored procedures, views, tables, and other database objects using SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Design and develop dimensional data models, including star/snowflake schemas and enterprise data marts.
  • Deploy ETL packages using CI/CD pipelines and manage version control via configuration management systems.
  • Index system logs in Splunk to create custom dashboards, alerts, and performance reports.
  • Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity while conducting peer code reviews for the team.
  • Translate business requirements from stakeholders into technical specifications within an Agile development framework.

What we're looking for

  • At least 7 years of experience in server database maintenance, database analysis, or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or a related computer-based major (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Experience supporting production database systems, including shift-based coverage and on-call responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with AWS database technologies such as Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and other AWS-managed data services.
  • Experience with Snowflake and exposure to Azure cloud platform.
  • Expertise in database installation, configuration, administration, modeling, mapping, and migration from legacy systems to multi-cloud platforms.
  • Database or cloud certification such as AWS Certified Database - Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect (preferred).
  • Knowledge of court operations and law enforcement business data (preferred).
