Core responsibilities include implementing security policies, optimizing storage and query performance, and performing index maintenance. Required technical skills include experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE, alongside preferred competencies in Red Hat Linux, Git, Puppet, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Managed Databases, and schema design.

What you'll do

  • Build new environments using Oracle OEM Cloud control and DataGuard.
  • Administer Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE database systems.
  • Execute migration efforts from on-prem Oracle environments to AWS RDS.
  • Perform performance tuning, monitoring, index maintenance, and disaster recovery.
  • Implement database security policies and procedures to ensure data integrity.
  • Optimize database structure, storage, and query performance.
  • Support the installation and administration of database systems and tools.

What we're looking for

  • Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • 12+ years of DBA experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity.
  • Experience administering Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE databases.
  • Experience with Oracle to AWS RDS migration efforts.
  • Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, index maintenance, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with database security policies and procedures.
  • Experience with Oracle and OEM Management (preferred).
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux 7/8, Git, Puppet, VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Experience with AWS and AWS Managed Databases (including NoSQL) (preferred).
  • Experience with schema design, optimization, and data modeling (preferred).
  • CSSRC conmd (preferred).
