Database Administrator II

What you'll do

• Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server and MariaDB databases across multiple networks and architectures.
• Manage database performance through proactive index management and optimization.
• Perform routine patching and troubleshooting for database instances and associated applications.
• Execute backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Automate repetitive tasks and manual processes using PowerShell or Python scripting.
• Support database operations within both on-premise datacenters and AWS cloud environments.
• Manage Windows Task Scheduler, Event Log Filtering, and SQL Server AlwaysOn configurations.

What we're looking for

• Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph.
• Must have experience as a DBA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Four years of additional DBA experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
• Must comply with DOD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAT Level II (e.g., Security+, GSEC, or CCNA Security).
• Must have demonstrable experience supporting MS SQL, MariaDB, and/or Oracle databases.
• Must have experience with index and performance management, backup and recovery processes, and troubleshooting instances and applications.
• Must possess effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
