Lead database architecture and administration for migrating legacy Oracle Siebel data to AWS PostgreSQL environments.
Profile, analyze, and document the legacy data model to support migration planning and mapping rules.
Support the development of ETL processes using AWS Glue, PySpark, and AWS DMS for data movement.
Monitor, tune, and plan capacity for databases to ensure high availability and performance requirements.
Design and implement backup, recovery, and Multi-AZ/Multi-Region resilience strategies for disaster recovery.
Implement security controls including encryption, role-based access control, and monitoring in alignment with FedRAMP standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, defects, and data quality problems in production environments.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to Data Modelers and ETL Developers on migration best practices.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant database administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience administering and tuning Oracle and PostgreSQL (RDS/Aurora) databases in a highly available production environment in AWS.
Experience with large-scale, complex data migrations including data profiling, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.
Experience with AWS data services such as AWS Glue, AWS DMS, S3, RDS/Aurora, and Redshift.
