As a Data Software Engineer, you will join the team responsible for building and maintaining data solutions that power regulatory reporting across U.S. equity and options markets. What you'll do

Develop and maintain Java and Scala-based backend applications for large-scale regulatory reporting workflows.
Translate technical and business requirements into reliable, scalable software solutions.
Build and enhance data processing and ETL workflows to ingest and transform high volumes of trading data.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement durable, long-term fixes across distributed data platforms.
Utilize cloud and big data technologies to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Perform scripting and troubleshooting within SQL and Linux/Unix environments.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of software development experience with strong programming skills in Scala and/or Java.
Experience developing backend services, data-intensive applications, or ETL/data processing solutions.
Experience working in SQL and Linux/Unix environments, including scripting and troubleshooting.
Experience with large-scale data processing technologies and cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
Experience with Apache Spark, Amazon EMR, Hadoop, or other big data technologies.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools that enhance engineering productivity.
Background in financial markets, regulatory reporting, or trading systems environments.
