What you'll do

Develop and deploy pipelines and platforms to organize disparate data into meaningful formats.
Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
Create software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
Develop scripts and programs to convert various data types into usable formats.
Manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable data platforms.
Support the project team to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms.
Perform analytical exploration and data examination to provide insights for mission-driven projects.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
3+ years of experience building scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
Experience creating solutions within a collaborative and cross-functional team environment.
Experience using version control tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting data into usable formats and support data platform operations.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
HS diploma or GED.
Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 30 days of start date.
Experience with UNIX or Linux, including basic commands and Shell scripting (preferred).
Experience with a public cloud, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
Experience with distributed data or computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka (preferred).
Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications (preferred).
Experience with NoSQL implementation, including MongoDB or Cassandra (preferred).
Experience with Databricks (preferred).
Experience with data warehousing using AWS Redshift, MySQL, or Snowflake (preferred).
Experience with Agile engineering practices (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in a Data or IT-related field (preferred).
Security+ Certification (preferred).
