What you'll do

Develop and deploy pipelines and platforms to organize disparate data sources.
Build scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
Create software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms for clients.
Develop scripts and programs to convert various data types into usable formats.
Monitor and operate data platforms to ensure consistent performance and scalability.
Perform analytical exploration and data examination to provide mission-driven insights.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
3+ years of experience building scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
Experience creating solutions within a collaborative and cross-functional team environment.
Experience using version control tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
Ability to develop scripts for data conversion and support project teams in scaling and monitoring data platforms.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
HS diploma or GED.
Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 6 months of start date.
Experience with UNIX or Linux, including basic commands and Shell scripting (preferred).
Experience with a public cloud, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
Experience with distributed data or computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka (preferred).
Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications (preferred).
Experience with NoSQL implementation, including MongoDB or Cassandra (preferred).
Experience with data warehousing using AWS Redshift, MySQL, or Snowflake (preferred).
Experience with Agile engineering practices (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in a Data or IT-related field (preferred).
Security+ Certification (preferred).
