Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop data analytics for desktop and web-based visual analytic software.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT workflows using Python, SQL, NiFi, and other COTS/GOTS technologies.
• Automate batch and streaming workflows to retrieve, parse, and process structured and unstructured data.
• Implement schema-aligned ingestion, data normalization, and end-to-end lineage tracking.
• Establish data-layer security models including ABAC, RBAC, and governance practices.
• Manage diverse database types including SQL, NoSQL, graph, and vector databases.
• Deploy and manage containerized environments using Docker or Kubernetes for hybrid or multi-enclave operations.
• Produce actionable intelligence from high-performance computing and advanced graphics visualization.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and operationalizing enterprise-scale data applications and pipelines.
• 5+ years of experience building scalable ETL/ELT workflows using Python, SQL, NiFi, COTS, and GOTS applications.
• 5+ years of experience automating batch and streaming workflows for structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with schema-aligned ingestion, data normalization, provenance, and end-to-end lineage tracking.
• Experience with data-layer security models, ABAC, RBAC, governance practices, and record lineage.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, graph, or vector databases and search technologies like Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
• Experience with containerized environments such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in data engineering, or 12+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with event-driven systems, AI/ML implementations, Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, API development, Agile, or AWS Cloud Certifications (preferred).
