JOB TITLE: Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer, you will join a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, developers, and data consumers to build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities. You will develop and deploy pipelines and platforms that organize disparate data into meaningful formats to support mission-driven projects such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence. Your daily responsibilities include assessing, designing, developing, and maintaining scalable platforms and ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics. You will utilize programming languages including C++, Java, or Python, alongside tools like Git or Atlassian software. Technical requirements include experience with SQL, GraphQL, and relational or non-relational databases. You must be able to operate in a controlled SIPR space and possess a Secret clearance.

What we're looking for
2+ years of experience utilizing programming languages, including C++, Java, or Python.
2+ years of experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores that supply big data for business analysis.
1+ years of experience with source control and collaboration software, including Git or Atlassian tools.
Experience with developing scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
Knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies, including SQL or GraphQL.
Ability to work in a controlled facility, such as a SIPR space.
Experience deploying analytics workloads on a platform as a service (PaaS) or software as a service (SaaS) (preferred).
Experience with distributed or parallel programming frameworks, including Apache Spark or NVIDIA CUDA (preferred).
Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks and services, including Terraform or CloudFormation (preferred).
Experience developing and presenting complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences and senior leaders (preferred).
Experience developing and deploying large-scale batch and stream analytics pipelines (preferred).
Experience working with integrated groups comprised of customer success managers, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, and software engineers (preferred).
Experience with DoD information systems (preferred).
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics (preferred).
Cloud Development Certification, including AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Certification, or Information Security Certification, including Security+ or CISSP Certification (preferred).
