JOB TITLE: Data Engineer As a Data Engineer, you will join a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, developers, and data consumers to build advanced technology solutions for mission-driven projects. You will develop and deploy pipelines and platforms that organize disparate data into meaningful insights for applications such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence. Your daily responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable platforms, as well as creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data. You will utilize programming languages including C++, Java, and Python to develop scalable ETL and ELT workflows. The role requires experience with big data stores, data warehousing, and distributed computing tools. Support the scaling, monitoring, and operation of data platforms.
Perform analytical exploration and data examination to support mission-driven projects.

What we're looking for

2+ years of experience utilizing programming languages, including C++, Java, or Python.
2+ years of experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores that supply big data for business analysis.
Experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
Experience developing scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting data types and support scaling, monitoring, and operating data platforms.
Bachelor’s degree.
